Another eventful month at HF!

Test your knowledge and enjoy a fun-filled evening with our monthly quiz night! With three different quiz masters taking turns behind the mic, you never know who you’ll get each month — and that means no two nights are ever the same! Whether it’s tricky trivia, pop culture puzzles, or brain-teasing general knowledge, each host brings their own unique style and flavour to the challenge. Grab your team, bring your thinking caps, and come along for a night of laughs, friendly competition, and surprises. Will you crack this month’s questions? There’s only one way to find out!

HF supports this charity every year and 2026 is no exception. Join us from 10am for cake and a drink.

Macmillan Coffee Morning is one of the UK’s biggest fundraising events, held each year to support Macmillan Cancer Support in its vital work helping people affected by cancer. Every penny raised helps Macmillan provide practical, emotional, and financial support to people living with cancer, as well as their loved ones—whether that’s through specialist nurses, helplines, or online guidance. It’s a wonderful opportunity to bring people together for a good cause while making a real difference to those facing one of the toughest challenges of their lives.

Get ready for an evening of good games, great company and cold drinks at Heddin’s Ford Real Ale & Cider House! Join us from 5pm for a fun-filled night of classic favourites and modern board games. Whether you’re a competitive strategist, a casual player, or just fancy trying something different, there’ll be a game for everyone. Bring your friends, pick your game and let the fun begin — everyone is welcome! 🍻🎯🃏

Get ready to raise the stakes for a great cause! Join us for a Casino Night in support of the Fragile X Society. Try your luck at the roulette wheel, test your nerve at the card tables, and enjoy a fun-filled evening of Bond-style glamour, all while helping to raise vital funds and awareness for Fragile X Syndrome. With drinks flowing and excitement building all night, this is one bet you won’t want to miss!

Fragile X Syndrome is the most common inherited cause of learning disability and the leading known genetic cause of autism. Caused by a change in the FMR1 gene on the X chromosome, it can affect physical, intellectual, emotional, and behavioural development, with symptoms varying widely from person to person. Many individuals with Fragile X experience challenges such as speech and language delays, anxiety, sensory sensitivities, and difficulties with social interaction. Raising awareness of Fragile X is so important—not only to support early diagnosis and access to the right care, but also to help families and communities better understand and support those living with the condition. With greater understanding comes greater compassion, and every bit of support helps improve the lives of those affected by Fragile X and their families.

Get your dancing shoes on and warm up those vocal cords —Hosted by our fabulous resident DJ, Pat, this night promises non-stop tunes, disco classics, and karaoke fun for everyone. Whether you’re keen to grab the mic and belt out your favourite hits or simply want to hit the dance floor and enjoy the atmosphere, there’s something for all. With Pat spinning the decks and keeping the party going all night long, it’s guaranteed to be a fun, feel-good evening you won’t want to miss. So gather your friends, get glitzed up, and come sing, dance, and celebrate the night away!

Rock themed karaoke ends our August lineup. Come along, join in or just enjoy the music.

Starting us off this week , our Regular quiz master is hosting another quiz night on 9th July. He normally gives the teams plenty to think about. Come along, see if you’ve got what it takes to come top of the class.

Our regular Charlie Mack is with us on Friday 10th July with his Americana Southern Rock/Country music. Always a good night with a great musical vibe.

The grand finale – Our Carnival Night in aid of Parkinson UK . Our very own Grace is running this event for the second year running as it is a cause close to her heart.

Grace’s Dad Steve was diagnosed with Parkinson’s 10 years ago and has faced the disease head on.

For Steve, the diagnosis was never going to be the final word on who he is. Rather than allowing Parkinson’s to dictate the limits of his life, he has refused to let it define him—choosing instead to meet each day with purpose and to prove that a life with Parkinson’s can still be one of ambition, adventure, and achievement. Now, he’s channelling that determination into an extraordinary challenge: climbing Snowdon 100 times to raise money for Parkinson’s UK. Every step up that mountain is a statement that the condition may be part of his story, but it does not get to write the ending..

To rally further support, Steve’s family will host a stall at the Burntwood Wakes on 18 July, complete with a tombola to boost fundraising for the cause.

Please support Steve via his Go fund me page https://gofund.me/e546f2300.

Well now the ‘Beer Fest’ has finished don’t forget to Join us in March for ‘Human Guess Who’ on 21st March and and ‘Mamma Mia Vs Grease’ Disco Karaoke on 27th March 2026.

On deck: the fiery flamenco dancer, the shady jeweller, the slick property queen, the jet-setting playboy, the cheeky cleaner, and more. All gathered for the party of the season. But beneath the sparkle lies jealousy, betrayal, and greed.

When one guest ends up dead, the waves carry more than music across the Mediterranean night.
Everyone is a suspect. Everyone has a secret.
Only the sharpest detective will unmask the killer before the yacht docks again.

Joins us for our Macmillan Coffee morning for cake and a chat.

🎉 Heddin’s Ford Real Ale & Cider House, let’s turn good times into a great cause!

Bobby the British Bulldog is a familiar face at HF, often turning heads and winning hearts whenever he visits with his owner, Dave.

Ahead of the VE Day 80th Anniversary celebrations, Dave and Bobby were approached and asked if Bobby could attend the event dressed in his patriotic Union Jack outfit. Dave proudly accepted on Bobby’s behalf.

Throughout the day, Bobby was a huge hit, charming everyone he met—and even making repeat visits to some lucky fans. Many people quickly joined the growing list of those who completely fell in love with him, with more than a few wishing they could take him home.

Bobby’s popularity didn’t stop there—he was also featured in the Express and Star, alongside others from the local area celebrating the occasion.

Here he is, looking proud as ever.

You guys are amazing. Look what you have raised since 2023.

Our last charity night was ‘Ladies Night’ which was in aid of Mind and you raised a fantastic £410. Thank you all who bid, donated and turned up to support the evening.
